On December 2, 2020 Council 13243 volunteered at the spaghetti dinner at F.I.T. Mark Stephenson and Dan Fisher participated in this month’s dinner and were assisted by a Melbourne Central Catholic senior and his mother. About 100 F.I.T. students were served, a number fewer than typical, due to students being home and doing remote learning.
Wednesday, December 2, 2020 is the date of our next spaghetti dinner at the F.I.T. All Faith Center, located 3216 Engineering Street, just west of Harris Village, located on the west side of the pond. For more information, please click here.
This past Friday, August 16th and Saturday the 17th, our Council held the semiannual Tootsie Roll Drive outside the Bayside Lakes Publix. It was a big success. Our members collected over $1200 for the Intellectually handicapped. Thanks to all who spent time distributing tootsie rolls and collecting donations. Special thanks to Ron Gento our campaign chair Knight.
March 16 Knights and family members played kickball with residents of Promise in Brevard and Special Olympic athletes at the Space Coast Field of Dreams. It was a great time even though it rained most of the day. At the pizza party following the game we presented $1000.00 checks to Promise in Brevard, Space Coast Field of Dreams, Space Coast Early Intervention Center and Special Olympics Brevard County.
Brother Knights cooked and served spaghetti dinners to the students of Florida Institute of Technology. We do this @ 3 to 4 times a year. A great community service our council performs.
