On Tuesday, July 17, council members and wives toured the Promise in Brevard facility. It was a mind blowing experience to see what type of facility Promise is and how it provides not only housing but jobs as well for peoples with intellectual disabilities. They are able to house 126 residents. Provide opportunities for these people to be as self-sustaining as possible. The Cafe and Bakery are weeks away from opening and will be a huge asset not only to Promise but our community as well.
I am proud to say Council 13243 has been able to support this facility thru monies raised from our Tootsie Roll drives.
